Ramon Padilla, P.E
Project Manager
M.S.E. in Geotechnical Engineering, Arizona State University, 2000 B.S. in Civil Engineering, Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico, 1998
Mr. Padilla is a registered professional engineer with over 7 years of professional experience on a wide variety of projects. During his career, Mr. Padilla has planned, conducted, and completed numerous geotechnical and geological investigations and studies, and he has performed forensic evaluations on numerous geotechnical related failures. Mr. Padilla’s experience on geotechnical and geological projects include project planning, proposal and cost estimate preparation, preparing field investigation plans, directing and conducting field investigations using conventional methods (i.e., borings, test pits, etc.) and non-conventional methods (i.e., seismic refraction, geophysical surveys, etc.), preparing laboratory testing programs, directing and conducting all types of conventional and specialized laboratory testing, conducting engineering evaluations and analysis, developing engineering recommendations, preparing technical reports, providing consultation to clients during all phases of project development, and consultation during construction.
During his career as Field Engineer, Project Engineer, and Project Manager, Mr. Padilla’s experience includes recommendations relative to shallow and deep foundations, various types of retaining walls and structures, soil and rock slope stability, expansive and collapsible soils, and asphaltic concrete and Portland cement concrete pavements. Computer modeling experience includes the use of slope stability, structural design, and other engineering related programs. Mr. Padilla is also experienced in conducting engineering observation and materials testing during construction of projects. He has conducted field observation and testing on soil, compacted fill, base course, and concrete. He has conducted construction special inspections for soil nailing, reinforced shotcrete walls, placement of reinforced concrete columns, footings, and reinforced masonry structures.
